Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and acted as an investigative reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's reporting regarding the police's lenient approach towards DUI cases resulted in the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to state authorities re-issuing an even more strict directive on DUI instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell was then employed by NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. In addition, she serves as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's reported on events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of Pre-ShowArrivals shows to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Also, she co-hosted Miss USA's pageant as and the Miss Universe Pageant.
